Advisory on Use of Credentials and Oversight of TPAs under NATS
The Board of Practical Training (BOPT), Eastern Region, has issued an advisory to establishments under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) regarding the use of login credentials and oversight of Third Party Aggregators (TPAs).
Some establishments have shared credentials with TPAs for operational convenience, but this has led to instances of misuse, such as unauthorized apprentice enrollments and data manipulation, use of fake or temporary email addresses and phone numbers during apprentice registration, compromising data integrity.
Key Advisory Instructions:
Establishments are solely responsible for all activities under their NATS account, including those by TPAs.
Credentials must be protected; sharing is done at the establishment’s own risk.
Regular audits of apprentice-related activities are necessary.
Use of fake or temporary contact details for apprentices is strictly prohibited; Only genuine contact details must be used.
The BOPT (Eastern Region) disclaims any responsibility for any disputes or irregularities caused by TPAs or third parties due to misuse of credentials or data.
