Employment-Linked Incentive Scheme (ELI Scheme)<\/h3>\t\t\t

Dear all,<\/p>\n

The Employment Linked Incentive Scheme 2025 (ELI Scheme)<\/strong> was approved by the Union Cabinet on July 1, 2025.<\/strong> The scheme is aimed to support job creation<\/strong> and enhance social security<\/strong> in India.
\nIt is effective from 1st August 2025 to 31st July 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The scheme has two parts:
\nPart A \u2013 First time employees
\nPart B \u2013 Employers<\/p>\n

How first\u2011time employees Will Get the Benefits<\/strong> \u2013
\nThis scheme is designed for people who are joining the formal workforce for the first time. EPFO\u2011registered employees earning up to\u202f\u20b91\u202flakh per month are eligible to receive payment up to\u202f\u20b915,000,<\/strong> paid in two instalments:
\n1st instalment: after six months<\/strong> of continuous service
\n2nd instalment: after twelve months<\/strong>, once a short financial training course is completed.<\/p>\n

How Employers Will Get the Benefits<\/strong> \u2013
\nEmployers will receive a monthly incentive<\/strong> for every new eligible employee they hire and retain:
\n\u20b91,000 for workers earning up to \u20b910,000\/month
\n\u20b92,000 for workers earning between \u20b910,001 and \u20b920,000\/month
\n\u20b93,000 for workers earning between \u20b920,001 and \u20b91 lakh\/month<\/p>\n

To qualify, employers must hire at least two new employees if they have fewer than 50 workers, or five new employees if they have 50 or more employees.
\nThese employees must stay<\/strong> on the payroll for a minimum six months.<\/p>\n
